The highly anticipated Bethesda RPG, Starfield, has finally made its debut, and early player reviews are quite positive. This game marks Bethesda’s first foray into a new world in 25 years, focusing on the vast realm of space exploration—a significant departure from the post-apocalyptic America of Fallout or the fantastical landscapes of The Elder Scrolls.
While Starfield may not offer the complete freedom to roam endlessly in space that many players initially expected, it does feature several exciting sci-fi elements, such as multiverse theories, a diverse array of spaceships to pilot through galaxies, and futuristic weaponry that pushes the boundaries of imagination.
Starfield is now available on Xbox Series X and PC (and somewhat on Xbox One), but it has yet to make its way to the PlayStation 5. As PlayStation 5 owners enjoy their share of excellent games, there’s still a sense of eager anticipation among Sony gamers who are eagerly awaiting their chance to explore the Starfield universe.
Regrettably, Starfield’s release on either PS5 or PS4 is not on the horizon, and the likelihood of it happening in the future is extremely low. This stems from the fact that Bethesda Softworks is a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media, which Microsoft acquired in 2021. While there was a great deal of speculation and debate regarding platform exclusivity before the acquisition was finalized, once the deal was sealed, Microsoft made it clear that Bethesda titles would be exclusive to Xbox and PC moving forward.
